Mechatronics in Comer Industries guarantees
not only optimal vehicle performance but - first and foremost
- operator safety.
Mechatronic solutions permit overall component control thus
ensuring machine reliability and safety at all times. Electronic
controls are used to monitor proper machine operation, making
it possible to correct accidental maneuvers by the operator.
The intelligent control of all operating phases thus solves
any problems caused by hazardous movements.
Comer Industries has created new software algorithms to better
control system parts, as well as programs that simulate situations
difficult to reproduce in the laboratory: these tools guarantee
maximum safety in application of all systems.
For its safety concerns, Comer Industries has received special
recognition for "technical innovation"
from UNACOMA (Italian Association of Agricultural Machine
Manufacturers) regarding two solutions designed by the Mechatronic
Research Center and presented at Eima 2002.
The first award is the ECS (Easy Connecting System),
featuring an innovative yoke for easy coupling of the cardan
shaft to the power takeoff (PTO) on tractors. The growing
demand for optimized agricultural machinery has led to increased
size and weight of transmission components. In the light of
this, the UNACOMA Committee has recognized the ECS device
as a technical innovation because it facilitates the coupling
and uncoupling of the cardan shaft therefore guaranteeing
greater operator safety.
Comer Industries' second award went to the
transmission unit for hose reel irrigation equipment
(MIB). This new integrated system permits efficient
irrigation management, even remotely, while dramatically reducing
manual intervention and improving the safety of the operator
and the mechanical parts
