Future comes first: there is a place where education is part of home life.
This is Vidya Home in Bangalore, a safe accomodation for deserving female students, conceived by Comer Industries and the “NAMASTE, Onore a te” organisation.
The Vidya Home project was created on the occasion of Comer Industries’ 50th anniversary, the result of a collaboration with the organization “Namaste, Onore a te” which has been working for more than 20 years to ensure the right to study and health for children and youth in poverty.
The initiative aims to provide concrete support to the Bangalore community by providing 12 female students with the resources they need to cultivate their talents, accompanying them throughout their studies. The company also takes care of room, board and protection through the presence of a resident mentor.
As of 2021, moreover, Comer Industries has also decided to fund other solidarity projects cared for by the “Namaste, Honor to You” association, providing the necessary support to family homes in Vellanad, in the state of Kerala.
